Time to Explore provides itinerary planning and on-coach guide/courier services for groups visiting Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.

Derek Sharman MBE has over 30 years’ experience of introducing visitors to the sites and stories of northern England and Scotland. This included six seasons as a program director and tour guide working with Overseas Adventure Travel, an American company specialising in taking groups to places off the usual tourist track. The two-week itinerary covered Cheshire, the Lake District, Northumberland and Scotland.

For groups, Time to Explore can arrange or provide:

• On-coach guide/couriers to give entertaining and informative commentary on the history and stories associated with places along the route.
• Walking tours around local towns and historic sites.
• Activities and experiences to ensure a memorable visit.
• Boat trips to the Farne Islands.
• Coach transport for groups and/or hotel, guest house or self-catering accommodation, if required.
• Fresh ideas for special interest or educational groups .
• Routes and itineraries to suit particular needs and interests, starting from any point in north Northumberland or the eastern Scottish Borders. Itineraries can be offered for a half or full day, or for a series of days.
